My commentary

I have been consulting others about Visual Poetry (or Visual Poetics) to nominate a fine arts category that includes part of what I did and do. The best answer is, precisely, in the presentations by Walter Zanini and Julio Plaza for this exhibition. In his text, first fifteen lines, Zanini stablishes the diference between Visual Poetics and Visual Poetry , concept to be used as title off this show.

Walter Zanini, memberships: ‘...There were few who interpreted “Poetics” in the strict aesthetic sense of the word or confused it with the specific issues of “Visual Poetry” and failed to send in their contributions...’

Julio Plaza, intermedia: ‘... The death of art, which historically appears as a product of reflection on art itself, can be seen today as the abandonment of traditional media... graphic reproduction, books, photographs, films, etc.; this situation is characterised as intermedia.’
